I'm

I'm a bassoon player with a passion for playing together based in Amsterdam

After completing my degree in engineering I decided to follow my heart and persue a carreer as a professional bassoon and contrabassoon player. In 2023 I finished my studies at the Conservatory of Amsterdam in the bassoon studio of Simon Van Holen, and I'm still developing my craft.

I regularly perform with professional orchestras and ensembles throughout the Netherlands and abroad. From easy listening chamber music to contemporary repertoire or big orchestras, I'll always be happy to take on a challenge.

While I enjoy playing both instruments, I've developed a special taste for the contrabassoon. I'm drawn to its unique role as a foundational voice that sits at the very heart of any ensemble.

Beyond playing

I maintain a small teaching practice where I share my passion for bassoon with the next generation. My background as a engineer is still relevant for my part-time job and projects on topics I find interesting and important, but not so much for this website. Maybe in the future.
